During the May 1st holiday of 2010, with ecouragement from Qingdao Yachting Association and with the cooperation of the leading sailing clubs, various sailing competitions, training and sailing activities were organized. The first round of “Welcome to Sailing” sailing races were held May 2nd. And activities like family sailing races, wind surfing crash courses were also organizeded by the sailing clubs.

    According to rough statistics, about 700 citizens and foreigners participated in the races, training and activities. Main sailing areas are Fushan Bay and Huiquan Bay. More than 60 yachts, sailing boats and surfing boards were used by Zouzhi Intermarine, QIYC, Jida Sailing Club, International Marine Club and Runlong Sailing Club. Professional training of Qingdao sailing team also attracted public attention during the holiday.
