Mayor Xia Geng met Chairman of ISAF World Match Racing Tour Patrick Lim and Chief Operating Manager Marcus Lip. Xia Geng expressed welcome to the two guests and introduced development of sailing sports in Qingdao. Both sides exchanged views on setting Qingdao as a stopover of the World Match Racing Tour. Patrick Lim mentioned that Qingdao is a fascinating city with perfect infrastructure for sailing events, that he is confident of the Qingdao Match Cup, and that his team would work together with Qingdao to make world-class competition in Qingdao.

    Chairman Patrick Lim and Chief Operating Manager Marcus Lip were invited by Mayor Xia Geng to Qingdao this August to attend the Olympic Sailing City Mayors and International Sailing Summit Forum 2010.

    Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Committee, Director of United Front Work Department Zang Aimin, president of Qingdao Sports Federation, executive president of Qingdao Yachting Association Lin Zhiwei, deputy inspector of Qingdao Sports Bureau, and vice president of Qingdao Yachting Association Yuan Zhiping were present at the meeting.
