On April 14th, officials and relevant staff from Qingdao Municipal Sports Association, National Sport General Administration, Qingdao Sailing Sport School, Qingdao Administration Center of Sailing Sports received South Korea Life and sports Minister Nan Lihao together with 2 escorts and held a forum. The two parties agreed on sending South Korean students to participate in Qingdao sailing camp and strengthening exchanges of mass sports activities between South Korea and Qingdao. South Korean visitors visited Qingdao accompanied by a former chairman of Football Association in Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture, and the principal of Qingdao INTL Foreign Language School.
At the meeting, the two parties agreed on sending Korean students to Qingdao to participate in sailing training camp. In July and August this year, Korea will organize 160 primary and middle-school students on summer vocations to Qingdao in two groups to attend the sailing training. During the training, Qingdao Guoji Foreign Language School will be appointed as the camp host, in charge of arranging the Korean students’ accommodation and food. Fengfan International Sailing Club will send coaches to teach sailing knowledge and test drive. This is the first foreign juvenile sailing training camp that Qingdao receives in Olympic Sailing Center. Qingdao will do every effort in bettering the preparatory work for the training camp, to well ensure the site, devices, coaches and activity organization.
South Korea Life and Sport Minister Nan Lihao also proposed positive suggestions on enhancing mass sport exchange between Qingdao and Korea, expressing his determination in full support. In the meantime, Qingdao will enlarge the range of mass mutual visits with Korea, in particular in sailing, taekwondo, football and other advantaged sports.
At the end of the meeting, representatives from both sides held that in line with the good faith, the principle of unity and mutual support, they will gradually strengthened the exchanges in mass sport fields. |
