Chairman of ISAF World Match Racing Tour Patrick Lim and Chief Operating Manager Marcus Lip visited Qingdao on May,18 for Pre-Qingdao Tour observation. The guests were received by leaders from Qingdao Yachting Association in Qingdao, also they made a tour of Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. Finally, both sides reached an intended agreement on setting up Qingdao tour in October 19 to 24, 2010. This event will be another world-class sailing competition since the Olympic and Paralympic competitions,Volvo Ocean Race and Clipper round the World Yacht Race in Qingdao

    At the end of April, 2010, Chief Operating Manager Marcus Lip visited Qingdao for the preliminary observation. Then President of the organizing committee of the sailing event Patrick Lim came to Qingdao for further observation. He mentioned that Qingdao is a fascinating city with first-class infrastructure, experienced organizing team and highest hospitality. He believed that Qingdao Tour would be successful before his coming. He also said, he will invite VIPs from ISAF, international super stars to come to Qingdao to promote Qingdao Tour.

    Deputy Secretary of CPC Qingdao Committee, Mayor of Qingdao Xia Geng met Chairman of ISAF World Match Racing Tour Patrick Lim in the City Hall on the morning of May,19. Member of the CPC Qingdao Committee, director of United Front Work Department Zang Aimin treated the guests to lunch in Yandao Hotel.
