Qingdao International Optimist Sailing Regatta 2011 Award Ceremony held

    Double Star Qingdao International Optimist Sailing Camp and Optimist Sailing Regatta 2011 Award Ceremony was held yesterday. Malaysia, Germany and Singapore won most of the titles.

    Day 2 of Double Star Qingdao International Optimist Sailing Camp and Optimist Sailing Regatta 2011 was held in Fushan Bay yesterday and the award ceremony was held in Olympic Center. President of Qingdao Sports Association and secretary general of Qingdao International Sailing Event Organizing Committee, Ms. Lin Zhiwei, deputy director of Qingdao Exhibition Office and vice secretary general of Qingdao International Sailing Event Organizing Committee, Mr. Zhu Yuetao, vice general manager of Chengtou Group Tourism Group, Mr. Jia Yongfeng, Vice Mayor of Barcelona Vila, Minister of the Kiel Market Development Department, Mr. Uwe Vange, president of Malaysia Negeri Sembilan Sailing Federation, Mr. Lawrence gave prize to the winners. This event was sponsored by Double Star Group.

    Sailing Camp is the 3rd International Youth Sailing Exchange Activity based on the “Sailing in Schools” event in Qingdao. There are 13 teams from 11 countries such as Germany, France, India, Myanmar, 9 teams from Chinese coastal cities such as Shantou, Lianyungang and Hangzhou and many young players from 93 schools in Qingdao joining in this event. The competition level is much higher than last year, Malaysia team is supported by the natioanl team players. The professional players of France, Germany, Pakistan, India, Russia and Myanmar also take the competition seriously.

    The competition on 22 August is full of tense because that all teams are excellent. Finally, Malaysia, Germany and Singapore won most of the titles.
