    王苗 Wang Miao

    簡介

    一九五一年出生於北京，與許多同齡人一樣經歷過「動亂的年代」。

    上過山，下過鄉，當過農民。

    自學攝影，一九七二年走進專業攝影的大門。

    曾在文物出版社當過攝影師，

    在中國新聞社做過攝影記者。

    參與創辦民間攝影團體「四月影會」、「現代攝影沙龍」，

    曾任「當代攝影學會」秘書長、副會長。

    現為「中國攝影家協會」理事，「中國攝影師協會」主席，

    香港中國旅遊出版社副社長、總編輯，

    曾任《華夏人文地理》雜誌主編。

    一九八六年在香港舉辦《我眼中的西藏》攝影展，

    一九八七年在美國加州舉辦《川藏行》攝影展，

    一九八八年在台北舉辦《中國攝影家系列展．王苗個人作品展》。

    二零零七年在北京舉辦《野外拾回的小詩》攝影展。

    參加過多個聯展。

    出版個人攝影集《敦煌飛天》、《西藏神秘的高原》、《野外拾回的小詩》、《重走馬可‧波羅之路》、《世間人》和《世間人．穿越時空的影像人生》。

    策劃組織並編輯出版了大型畫冊《香港回歸日》、《澳門回歸日》和《世紀之交》，策劃組織並編輯出版了《兩岸四地攝影家合拍—台灣24小時》及北京、貴州、澳門、西藏、浙江、山東、上海、吉林、雲南、青海的二十四小時系列畫冊和《香港回歸十年》、《澳門回歸十年》。

    ProfileBorn in Beijing in 1951, Wang became a professional photographer in 1972.She worked as a photographer for the Wenwu (Historical Relics) Press and as a press photographer for the China News Service. She was one of the founders of the April Photo Meet and Modern Photo Salon, two non-governmental, professional organizations of photographers in China.She has been the Chief Secretary and Vice Chairperson for the Contemporary Photographic Club.She is presently a member of the China Photographer Association, Chairperson of the Photographers Association of China,and Vice Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Hong Kong China Tourism Press. She was also the Editor-in-Chief for China Cultural Geography magazine.In 1986, she held the ‘Tibet Through My Eyes’ photography exhibition in Hong Kong; in 1987, ‘A Journey Through Sichuan and Tibet’ photography exhibition in California, U.S.A.; in 1988, ‘The China Photographers’ Series Exhibition: The Individual Works of Wang Miao’ in Taipei; and in 2007, ‘Poetic Sketches of Nature’ photography exhibition.She has published photo albums entitled The Dunhuang Frescoes, Tibet: A Mysterious Land, Images as Poetry: Recollections of Far Away Places, Poetic Sketches of Nature, Tracing Marco Polo’s Northern Route, Story of Man, and The People of Human World Life Depicted by Enernal Images.She has planned, organized, edited and published large-size photographic series including Hong Kong Back to China, Macau Back to China, Records of 48 Hours in China, Hong Kong Back to China 10th Year, Macau Back to China 10th Year.

    From 2003, she has been organizing many noted photographers from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau to shoot the life of cities across the Straits, and edited and published the photo album series including Record of 24 Hours in Taiwan, Record of 24 Hours in Beijing, Record of 24 Hours in Tibet, Record of 24 Hours in Shanghai, Record of 24 Hours in Guizhou, Record of 24 Hours in Macau, Record of 24 Hours in Zhejiang, Record of 24 Hours in Shandong, Record of 24 Hours in Jilin, Record of 24 Hours in Yunnan, Record of 24 Hours in Qinghai.
