WSS-RC of the ISAF officially recognized that Guo Chuan, the 48-year-old Qingdao sailor had created class40 yacht, solo, non-stop sail around the globe world record last month on May 1. Meanwhile, Guo Chuan officially became the first Chinese man to successfully circumnavigate the globe singlehandedly.

    The WSS-RC made the above statement after having read the data on the "black box" of the boat "Qingdao". John Reed, secretary-general of WSSRC sent warm congratulations to Guo Chuan for his great achievements and revealed that they would issue official certificate to Guo Chuan in the near future.
