The five-day 2015 City Clubs Open Regatta (CCOR) came to an end at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, East China's Shandong province, on April 29.

More than 60 sailing clubs from home and abroad participated in different races, in seven categories.

With a history of five years, the CCOR is aimed at spreading and popularizing the sailing culture in China, according to Qu Chun, deputy secretary general of the CCOR organizing committee. He voiced his hope that more and more sailors from home and abroad would gather in Qingdao to compete with each other.

Over the past five years, the coastal city of Qingdao has been the host port for many international sailing events, including the Clipper Round the World Race, Volvo Ocean Race, Extreme Sailing Series and ISAF Sailing World Cup, further consolidating itself as a "sailing capital".

City Clubs Open Regatta, known as CCOR, is a professional keelboat regatta, which started in 2010. Authorized by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), CCOR is the first annual regatta in China included in the ISAF Regatta Calendar.

City Clubs Open Regatta in Qingdao took place in the following seven categories: FAREAST 26 (26-feet Shanghai-made FAREAST sailing boat), FAREAST 28 (28-feet Shanghai-made FAREAST sailing boat), BENETEAU F40 (French-made Beneteau F40 yacht), X-41 (41-feet Denmark-made X-Yacht), Open Class A (under 35-feet single-hulled sailing boat),Open Class B (35-feet, or longer, single-hulled sailing boat) and Open Class C (35-feet catamaran)
