2015-2016赛季克利伯环球帆船赛第四赛段、澳大利亚奥尔巴尼站至悉尼站比赛日前鸣金收兵。在12支参赛船队中，连续第六个赛季参赛的 “青岛”号第五个冲过终点线，获得8个积分。

    在前四个赛段中，“青岛”号表现出色，除第二赛段因船体受损、延迟出发导致名落孙山外，第一赛段、第三赛段分获亚军、季军的佳绩。第四赛段的航程约2088海里，在长达12天的航行中，“青岛”号长时间遭遇逆风，一度行进艰难。赛程过半后，“青岛”号的即时名次曾降至第十，不过在新任船长鲍勃•贝格斯的运筹帷幄下，船队奋起直追，步步为营，最终取得第五名的不错成绩。

    12条在青岛生产制造的70英尺长克利伯大帆船，将在悉尼停靠长达两周的时间，来自世界各地的船员们将在这里欢度圣诞节。12月26日，12支克利伯船队将参加享誉帆船界的悉尼至霍巴特帆船赛，这同时也是本赛季第五赛段的比赛。

    QINGDAO SAILS INTO SYDNEY IN 5th POSITION

    The Qingdao team has arrived in Sydney, Australia, finishing in fifth place in Race 4: The Elliot Brown Timekeeper Cup in the Clipper 2015-16 Round the World Yacht Race from Albany, Western Australia.

    The team finished at 0808 AEDT local time (UTC+11 hours) to secure fifth place and a valuable eight points bringing their total so far to 34 points. “Since I joined the boat in Cape Town I've been working on the fact that the watches have to become cohesive and really work together to help each other and I've seen that really come together in this race. In the last few days we were placed tenth at one point so to pull it back and finish in fifth is a very commendable result.” Bob added.

    After 2,088 nautical miles from Albany to Sydney, and long periods of slamming seas due to strong Southern Ocean headwinds, Race 4 may have been the shortest race so far, but it has also been the most challenging.

    This Australian Leg is divided into three separate races. The next part of this leg will be the prestigious Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race which will start on Boxing Day December 26th, with the third and final race heading from Hobart to Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays.
