The 8th Qingdao International Sailing Week & Qingdao International Ocean Festival lasting for 10 days will kick off in the Olympic sailing center on the 5th of August.

    As a key carrier for Qingdao to maximize its dual advantages as the key knot city of the new Eurasia land bridge economic corridor and pivot city of the marine cooperation strategy, the Qingdao International Sailing Week & Ocean Festival is themed with the “Sailing Capital to Boost Blue Leap Forward of the City”, and takes sailing leisure sports games such as yacht sailing as its platform, and takes international sailing games and Olympic sailing cultural exchange as the core, to highlight the internationalization, openness, and participation of residents. It aims to boost the sports industry transformation and upgrade and cultivate a marine festival that integrates blue economy, marine sports, ocean culture tourism, marine technologies, eco-protection, and energy saving as a whole.

    The host will introduce 7 parts and over 30 activities, the most attractive part is the 3 traditional brand games, including Mayor Cup international round the island sailing, Qingdao international sailing game, and the Qingdao international OP sailing camp & sailing game.

    Big yacht Palada from Russia will berth in the Olympic sailing center again one year later to celebrate the event.
