28 APRIL - 1 MAY 2017 For the seventh year running, the fleet will race in China’s Olympic sailing city, Qingdao. Notorious for its changeable weather conditions, there is no telling what the fleet will face as the crews head out to battle each day, with conditions ranging from gales to flat calms, unexpected gusts and fog. Where is the best place to watch? Fushan Bay, the 2008 Beijing Olympic sailing venue, provides the stadium, while outside the breakwater the fleet can also take advantage of open water racing. Every year thousands of spectators turn out at this popular venue to enjoy the action. |
