For the seventh year running, the fleet will race in China’s Olympic sailing city, Qingdao. Notorious for its changeable weather conditions, there is no telling what the fleet will face as the crews head out to battle each day, with conditions ranging from gales to flat calms, unexpected gusts and fog.
Where is the best place to watch? Fushan Bay, the 2008 Beijing Olympic sailing venue, provides the stadium, while outside the breakwater the fleet can also take advantage of open water racing.
Spectators can watch for free from anywhere around Fushan Bay and pay a visit to the free-to-enter Race Village for the Land Rover Experience Zone and to browse the Zhik shop for official Extreme Sailing Series merchandise. |
