At 7:00 p.m. on October 24, 2019, the opening ceremony of the world paddleboard championship of the"East sail Cup" sponsored by the international canoeing Federation (ICF), organized by the China Canoeing Association, Shandong Provincial Sports Bureau, Qingdao Municipal People's government, CO sponsored by the Qingdao Municipal Sports Bureau and the Qingdao navigation Sports School of the State Sports Administration, was held in Qingdao seascape Garden Hotel.

The opening ceremony officially began in the opening performance of"the wind of May". The dancers, dressed in gorgeous red costumes, extend a warm welcome to the athletes from all over the world with their graceful dancing posture. Next, the publicity video of the"East sail Cup" world paddleboard championship was broadcast, with Qingdao and sailing as the theme, to introduce and publicize Qingdao and the event to guests from all over the world. Subsequently, an entry ceremony was held. Volunteers of the"East sail meeting Cup" world paddleboard championship, as flagmen, carried the national flags of participating countries and regions in turn. After the national flags of participating countries and regions enter the venue, the whole venue stands up and plays the National Anthem of the people's Republic of China.

After the entrance ceremony, Mr. Sun Ji, Deputy Secretary General of Qingdao municipal government and director of general office, first delivered a welcome speech. In his speech, Sun Ji said:"Qingdao is in line with the important instructions of general secretary Xi Jinping," running a good meeting and doing a good job", launching the 15 offensive of international fashion city construction, and speeding up the construction of an open, modern, dynamic and fashionable international metropolis. This event happens to be held at the right time, adding new elements to the city's maritime sports, injecting new vitality into the joint development of sports and tourism industry, and will also play a positive role in promoting the construction of the international fashion city."

Later, Mr. Liu Aijie, chairman of China Canoeing Association, delivered a speech on behalf of China Canoeing Association. President Liu Aijie said in his speech:"in this sup World Championships, there are more than 300 athletes from 41 countries at home and abroad, who are also the largest international sup paddle competition in China, attracting the attention of paddle fans all over the world. The China Canoeing Association will continue to work with the international canoeing Federation to promote the popularization of paddle sport in the world, so that more people can participate in the sport."

Thomas konietzko, vice president of the international canoeing Federation, made a statement on behalf of the international canoeing Federation. In his speech, Thomas konietzko said:"it is very important for the international canoeing Federation to provide a professional stage for the sport. We also need to work with national associations to promote the development of paddle sport around the world. One of the important aspects is to organize national and international competitions with athletes as the core. I hope this will be the highlight of this season. I also wish the 2019 international canoeing Federation World Rowing Championships held in Qingdao a complete success. I hope we can write a new chapter in the history of water sports in Qingdao by holding the world Rowing Championships of the international canoeing Federation."

After the speech of domestic and foreign guests, the athlete on behalf of Jiang Lei and the referee on behalf of Han Yu took the oath on behalf of all the athletes and referees. Subsequently, Thomas konietzko, vice president of the international canoeing Federation, and Che Jinghua, director of Qingdao Municipal Sports Bureau, jointly stepped on the stage to present souvenirs to each other on behalf of the international canoeing Federation and Qingdao Municipal Sports Bureau.
