Relying on the platform advantage of Sailing City of Qingdao, the  International Schools Elite Regatta 2020 is created. Coinciding with the National Day holiday and Mid-Autumn Festival, the International Schools Elite Regatta successfully combines event organization with the youth sailing popularization, exploring a new development mode in which the brand-building of youth sailing events and the popularization of sailing go hand in hand.

International schools students are preliminary overseas students, who are about to enter internationally renowned universities for further studies, and will also become a bridge between Qingdao and the world in the future. Through the International Schools Elite Regatta, they learn about sailing which will enhance their self-awareness and help them better integrate into the future campus life and social life, so as to become an ambassador for the exchange between Qingdao and international sailing sports and show the new image of the Sailing City brand. After the Opening Ceremony, eight sailing teams composed of international middle schools students from all over the country set sail.
