After three days of exciting competitions, on the afternoon of October 6, the 1st International Schools Elite Regatta (Qingdao, China) 2020 came to an end. Eight elite schools from across the country set sail to compete in Fushan Bay and decided the final place. The sailing team of the Wisdom Mount Academy ranked the top and became the newly-crowned champion of this event. The International Department of Chongqing No.1 International Studies School won the runner-up in the overall score, and Hongwen School won the third runner-up in the overall score. The sailing team of Beijing International Bilingual Academy won the champion of the long-distance race in the individual event, with the sailing team of the Wisdom Mount Academy the second runner-up and the International Department of Chongqing No.1 International Studies School the third place. Qingdao Traffic Vocational School won the Best Team of this competition.

The sailing team of the Wisdom Mount Academy that won the championship is the youngest to participate, and had been training for only one month. The team members were all new to sailing, but they won the championship by virtue of good tactics and excellent teamwork.

The International Schools Elite Regatta successfully combines event organization with the popularization of youth sailing, exploring a new development mode in which the brand-building of youth sailing events and the popularization of sailing go hand in hand. It is also an in-depth implementation of the youth sailing popularization campaign themed Promoting Sailing in Schools.
