Qingdao distinguishes itself by sailing sport.Its success in the2008 Olympic SailingCompetition and the Paralympic SailingCompetition forged theSailing City brand,and created a new hot spot of sailing tourism. However, compared with the rapid development of marine tourism in southern provinces and cities, the sailing and jet ski related tourism in our city is less regulated. So it is imperative tostraighten out the administrative system for the development of marine tourism. On November 30, 2020,Qingdao MunicipalSports Bureau, in collaboration with eight other departments, including Qingdao Municipal Public Security Bureau,Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, formulated theInterim Measures for the Administration of Qingdao’sSailing andJet Ski related Tourism, which will come into effect on February 1, 2021 and remain valid until January 31, 2023.
In order to carry out the interim measures, Liu Yu, deputy director ofQingdao MunicipalSports Bureau, led a team toJinshahaiyun Sports Cultural Tourism Co., Ltd. in Qingdao West Coast New Area, Qingdao Yinhai International Yacht Club in Shinan District,Laoshanxiangyuan Tourism Co., Ltd. in Laoshan District, and conducted field research on the registration ofyachts andjet skis.
In line with the requirements of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee, Qingdao Municipal Government andQingdao MunicipalSports Bureau, Qingdao Administration Center of Sailing Sport will strive to work in an innovative way, break new ground, and strengthen contactwith enterprises to ensurean orderly progress of relevant work.
