Back in 2008, the OlympicGames chose Beijing, andthe Olympic Sailing Regatta sailed into Qingdao. Qingdaosuccessfully held “distinctive andhigh-level” Olympic and ParalympicSailing Regattas. In the past 10 yearsafter the Olympic and ParalympicSailing Regattas, Qingdao has introduced the Sailing World Cup, Clipper Round The World Yacht Race,International Extreme Sailing Raceand other famous internationalevents. At the same time, Qingdaohas established the largest sailingfestival in Asia - Qingdao International Sailing Week · Qingdao International Marine Festival. Besides, ithas also cultivated various professional and mass sailing events suchas the “Mayor’s Cup” InternationalSailing Regatta, Qingdao International OP Sailboat Camp and Invitational Rally, as well as the City ClubLeague. The cultural effect of theseevents has improved quality of thecity, the brand effect has highlighted characteristics of the city, andthe opening-up effect has enhancedvalue of the city, shortening the distance between Qingdao and otherworld-famous sailing cities. 

When we look back at the past2021, we can't help but feel that Qingdao is really great. In this year, Qingdao has hosted various sailing events,making the “Sailing City” knownaround the world.
