Qingdao's two sessions,namely, the first session ofthe 17th Qingdao People'sCongress and the first session of the14th Qingdao Municipal Committeeof the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference were held fromApril 14 to 19. The two sessions, heldat a critical time and on the startingpoint of a new journey, focused onnew goals and tasks and sought tobring collective wisdom and strengthinto full to write a new brilliant chapter of Qingdao's reform and development. 

At the two sessions, the city development vision of building a vibrant ma-rine city and a wonderful and pleasantcity was put forward, which would helpbuild Qingdao into a leading modernmarine city. Giving full play to the roleof a leading marine city and accelerating the construction of a global marinecentral city is of great significance tothe development of Qingdao's marineeconomy and the building of a moredynamic, powerful and charming inter-national metropolis. 

For Qingdao, "Sailing City" has become a unique city brand in sports,enhanced by many other famous Qingdao brands such as Haier, Hisense andTsingtao Beer, and has promoted thetransformation and upgrading of Qingdao from a city with brands to a brandcity.
