On the morning of July 10, 2024, the summary meeting for the youth sailing exchange delegation to South Africa and Australia was held in the conference room of the City Sports Development Center. The leaders, coaches, athletes, parents of the athletes, and relevant responsible persons from the City Sports Development Center attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the leaders, coaches, and athletes from the delegations to South Africa and Australia shared their experiences. They expressed that through this international competition, they not only experienced different cultures and enhanced their English proficiency but also competed and exchanged with foreign athletes, thereby improving their sailing skills and competitive levels, and enriching their competitive experiences. Furthermore, the two delegations this year achieved breakthroughs in performance and actively promoted the city's brand as the"Sailing Capital" and the development of sailing sports in Qingdao.

In the second half of the year, the City Sports Development Center plans to continue selecting outstanding youth sailors to participate in competitions and exchanges in countries and regions such as Thailand, Singapore, and Macau. Additionally, during the 16th Qingdao International Sailing Week & Qingdao International Marine Festival in 2024, the Qingdao International OP Sailing Camp and Regatta will attract over 10青少年 sailing teams from around the world to compete in Qingdao. Qingdao will continue to leverage sailing as a medium, constantly polishing its image as the"Sailing Capital," enabling the world to learn about Qingdao and facilitating Qingdao's engagement with the global community.
