On the morning of July 22 at 8:00 a.m., the third station of the 2024 Chinese Figure Skating Club League officially opened its curtains at the Ice World Wanda Skating Rink in Qingdao. Hosted by the Chinese Figure Skating Association, with support from the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Sports, the Shinan District Education and Sports Bureau of Qingdao, and co-organized by the Qingdao Sports Development Center and the Qingdao Wanda Plaza, the event is undertaken by the Ice World Wanda Skating Rink in Qingdao, marking the venue's second time hosting this national skating competition.The organizing committee actively responds to the significant directive issued jointly by the General Administration of Sport, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which promotes the integration of sports events into scenic areas, streets, and commercial districts. By situating this event within the Wanda Metropolis commercial complex, the tournament aligns thrilling and visually captivating professional sports with the public and daily life, fostering a vibrant and fashionable sports culture. This strategy encourages the integration and mutual growth of related industries.

The number of registrations for this station surpassed those of the Xi'an and Shenyang stations, totaling 545 athletes from 66 representative units, among which 8 are synchronized skating teams. Of note, familiar names such as Zhu Yi, Jin Guanzhu, and Wang Chuyi made their league debut in the mass single ice dance adult category. Additionally, Yin Xiuya, a former ice dancer, joined the competition in a newly added discipline.

Since its establishment in 2018, the Chinese Figure Skating Club League has successfully held five editions, providing a platform for figure skating athletes, enthusiasts, and amateurs to compete, display their talents, and engage in exchanges, thereby promoting the popularization and development of figure skating and effectively bridging the gap from mass engagement to professional athlete cultivation.

Over the course of the following five days, competitors from both the mass and elite groups across the country will gather in the picturesque coastal city of Qingdao, presenting a dazzling visual spectacle for figure skating enthusiasts and spectators alike. This event caters directly to the desires of local residents, offering them the opportunity to witness premier domestic competitions right in their hometown.
