On the afternoon of March 3rd, a training meeting for a delegation participating in youth sailing sports exchange and competition activities in Australia was held in the conference room of the Municipal Sports Development Center. Relevant staff from the center, team leaders, coaches, young sailors, and their parents attended the meeting.

During the meeting, information regarding cooperation and exchanges with Australia, as well as details about the outbound visit mission, were introduced to the athletes and their parents. Training on safety during the competitions, discipline, foreign affairs etiquette, and other related requirements were also emphasized.

Promoting international exchanges in youth sailing is an important measure under our city's"Sailing into Campus" initiative and youth exchange programs. This delegation marks the first group of young sailors sent abroad this year, with plans to continuously dispatch outstanding young sailors and coaches to countries such as Germany throughout the year. The delegation will also take advantage of this outbound exchange opportunity to promote Qingdao and invite teams from relevant countries and regions to participate in events like the Qingdao International OP Sailing Camp and Regatta, Qingdao-ASEAN OP Sailing Invitation Competition, and Qingdao International Youth Sailing Championship (ILCA4 class), thereby enhancing international cooperation and exchanges in sailing sports. This aims to elevate Qingdao's reputation and influence as the"City of Sailing".
