World's Coolest Sailboat: The Superfoiler

Yachting World magazine invited top sailors and marine industry experts to select the coolest sailboats of today, and the Superfoiler received this month's nomination."The Superfoiler is one of the coolest boats ever built," said Luke Parkinson, who has sailed everything from F50s to ocean-going 100-footers."It's a one-of-a-kind boat that keeps you on high xycmsv61. It's extremely challenging to handle, but once you get it right, the rewards are huge." The Superfoiler draws design elements from the Sydney 18‑foot skiff class and adds foils, achieving a dramatic performance boost.

In 2017, a racing circuit modelled on Australia's roadshow format was launched, featuring fan interaction zones, drone aerial footage, and live broadcasting, attracting well-known sailors such as Nathan Outteridge and Glenn Ashby. The circuit was gradually discontinued in 2019."It was a three‑person high‑speed hydrofoil that could easily reach 40 knots and was equipped with an electronic rake control system," Parkinson recalled."It carried three crew on the trapeze, had configurable tacking and gybing functions, and its design concept was far ahead of its time. It came with a heavy‑weather mainsail, a universal mainsail, and two jibs, making it extremely versatile.

An unforgettable boat, a very special boat."
